Hosted at the Bassett Park Netball Precinct, the Competitions offer all different levels of skill across a variety of divisions.

Cost for Social Netball - Please note all fees must be paid in full & online to MNA and Netball Qld prior to taking the courts to ensure you are covered for insurance.

ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL - If players have not paid their FEES they are unable to take the court and will be removed from the court by officials.

Social Netball Cost

. MNA Cost - $80.00 per competition
. Netball Qld Insurance Cost - $44 (or $133 for players aged 16 years and under) (Insurance Must be Paid)

. Mixed Netball - Wednesday Night - Game Times: 6pm & 7pm
. Ladies Netball - Thursday Night - Game Times: 6pm & 7pm

. Bibs: Own bibs are to be supplied
. Every team MUST supply a team captain and must provide MNA with at least ONE umpire, please email social@maranoanetball.com.au - the following: (this is the Team Captain's responsibility)

Ratio for Mixed Netball
A minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 Males can be on the court at any one time.
Male players can only play one in each area of the court. (mid court, goals and defence).
The combination is: GS OR GA, WA or C or WA* GD or GK.
If teams have two male players in the mid court, then they cannot have a male player in defence or goals.
For example, C & WA - cannot have a male in GA or GS.

Terms and conditions

  • Players must be registered on MNA Website to be able to participate in our competitions. It is up to the
    Team Captain to check each member of their team is registered prior to the start of the season.
    Individual players are automatically registered online when they sign up.

    Each team MUST supply an umpire to the Competition for the duration of the season for each week required by the Umpire Coordinator. Umpires are paid through competition fees, Teams are welcome to organise their own umpire to support their team.

    Players must play a minimum of 3 games during the grading and regular season rounds to be eligible to play finals.

    The Convenor will check the attendance register before the finals and any player that has not played at least 3 games will not be able to play.

    Unregistered players will not be permitted to play. If a team fields an unregistered player, they will forfeit their game. Fill in players, must be registered on a team in that respective competition ie; Mixed / Ladies.

    Players can fill in for NO MORE than 3 times within a season ie; as whole across all teams in the respective competition.

    Registered players may fill in for other teams if they are short on players (only applicable to play in WA and WD) attendance register is to be completed and notify the Convenor before the game.

    A maximum of two players may fill in each match, any more is deemed a forfeit.

    Should a team not be able to field a minimum of five players, five minutes after the clock starts, that team shall be deemed to have forfeited the match.

    Withdrawal /Forfeits

    If a team needs to forfeit their game, their Team Captain must notify MNA before 1.00 pm on the day the game is commencing.

    A team who forfeits a total exceeding 3 times will be removed from the competition.
    A team may withdraw at any time during the competion, no refund will be offered.
    In the event of a team withdrawing from the competion, the draw will be redeveloped and published.

    Player Behaviour

    All participants taking part in the competition are required to act in accordance with the National Codes of Behaviour published as part of the Netball Australia Members Protection Policy as amended from time to time

    Players must conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards their teammates, the opposition,
    and officials. Unsportsmanlike behaviour such as rough or forceful contact, derogatory language
    towards players or officials and intimidation will not be tolerated. The committee reserves the right to remove/ban any individual from playing/spectating netball under Maranoa Netball Association affiliation.

    Team Captain's must ensure their team plays within the spirit of the game. The Match Officials and Committee have the right to send players off if they are behaving inappropriately. It is up to the Match Officials to determine the period in which the player must sit off and whether the player can be replaced.
    Players may be penalised, sent off, suspended, or removed from the competition for misconduct during a game. This is up to the discretion of the officials and will depend on the seriousness of the breach.
    Player is sent off in a game, they can take no further part in that game and will be suspended for one game. The team will also lose one competition point and receive an official warning.

    Serious infringements will be investigated by the Maranoa Netball Association committee and further action may be taken if deemed necessary.

    Any player or team that is suspended or removed from the competition due to misconduct will not receive a refund.
